Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Lahore from London on Monday after a four-day stay in the United Kingdom. During his visit, he attended seven medical appointments and met several delegations.

Sources said the Prime Minister will spend Monday night at his private residence in Lahore and is expected to leave for Islamabad today (Tuesday).

Speculation has been circulating in opposition circles about the appointment and notification of the Chief of Defence Forces. However, government ministers and advisers have said the issue will be settled after the Prime Minister’s return.

The Prime Minister began his trip with an official visit to Bahrain, where he held high-level meetings with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.

After completing his official engagements in Bahrain, he travelled to the UK for a private visit.
