The Peshawar High Court (PHC) has banned all unrelated political gatherings inside government offices and educational institutions.

The court issued the order after a petition argued that holding political events in these institutions violates the Constitution and disrupts academic and official work.

Justice Sahibzada Asad Ullah released a five-page written judgment stating that political rallies, processions, and other unrelated gatherings will not be allowed inside educational institutions, government departments, or administrative premises.

The ruling also places responsibility on the relevant officials, directing them to stop any political use of these institutions through all possible means.

The court noted that government institutions exist for specific purposes, and unrelated gatherings damage their sanctity. It said officials must ensure that no political or unrelated activities take place on their premises.
