There were rumors and fake news on social media that Snowfall was expected this week at Islamabad’s Margalla Hills, but Azaad Digital fact checked and found that all the news regarding snowfall at Margalla Hills is fake.
One of the pages on Instagram posted fake news on Wednesday regarding snowfall at Margalla Hills and mentioned that, “Islamabad’s Margalla Hills Expected to Get Snowfall This Week.” However, the netizens didn’t take this news serious.

Azaad Digital fact-checked and found that all news about snowfall in Islamabad this week is fake. We found out that the weather in the federal capital is sunny and no chance of snowfall at Margalla Hills till November 27.
Weather in Islamabad:
According to the National Weather Forecasting Centre, Islamabad, the weather will be dry in most parts of the country, including the federal capital in the next few days. However, hilly areas will be a bit cold during the morning and night time.

Fog on Motorways:
National Weather Forecasting Centre, Islamabad, also confirmed about the fog schedule on the country’s motorways. According to NWFC, there will be shallow fog on the Peshawar-Sawabi motorway and the Sawabi-Islamabad motorway.

Visibility Standards for Fog Conditions:
If there is shallow fog, then the visibility will be 209-999 meters. In case of moderate fog, visibility will be 51-200 meters. However, in the situation of dense fog, visibility will be less than 50 meters on motorways.
