Web Desk: Cricketer Mohammad Rizwan appeared before the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) as part of an inquiry involving the forensic examination and analysis of a device.
Rizwan was summoned under Section 160 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, according to sources familiar with the proceedings. The notice sought his cooperation in connection with the forensic examination of a seized device.
Sources said a four-member NCCIA investigation team will question Rizwan during the proceedings.
The team comprises a deputy director and three inspectors, who are expected to examine matters related to the device and its forensic analysis.
Rizwan arrived at the NCCIA office but did not respond to questions from reporters. He left the premises smiling without commenting on the inquiry.
This is not Rizwan’s first appearance before the cybercrime agency.
The NCCIA had previously summoned the cricketer in connection with the forensic examination and analysis of his mobile phone. The agency has also issued notices seeking his cooperation as part of its investigation.
