Middle East conflict sparks increase in Crude oil prices

⏱ 2 minute read
Middle East issue and Crude oil prices

Following the recent Israeli and American aggression against Iran, tensions in the Middle East have risen significantly, with immediate impacts observed in global markets.

After sharp volatility in the global energy market, oil prices have surged by nearly 10 percent. In the international market, crude oil prices have climbed to around $80 per barrel, triggering concern among countries that rely heavily on imported fuel.

According to economic experts, if tensions in the region persist and oil supply routes are disrupted, further price increases cannot be ruled out.

Analysts warn that if the current situation continues, crude oil prices could reach as high as $100 per barrel, placing additional pressure on the global economy and potentially triggering a new wave of inflation.

It is worth noting that since the beginning of this year, oil prices had already been gradually rising, reaching $73 per barrel. However, the recent military actions have dramatically changed the situation.

Energy experts caution that any disruption near the Strait of Hormuz could severely impact the global supply chain, as a significant portion of the world’s oil shipments pass through this route.

Global analysts state that following the Israeli and American strikes, any potential retaliatory action by Iran or further military escalation in the region could also drive up prices of gas and other energy resources. Due to uncertainty, investors have begun shifting toward safer investment options, leading to instability in global financial markets.

Governments around the world are closely monitoring the situation and considering the use of strategic energy reserves or alternative sources to manage a potential crisis. Economic experts warn that if the conflict prolongs, it could result in rising global inflation, reduced industrial production, and a slowdown in trade activities worldwide.
