Apple upgrades the iPhone operating system every year, adding numerous new features.
This year, iOS 27 is being introduced for iPhone users.
Apple’s new mobile operating system will become available to the general public from the night of September 14.
Several new features are being added to this year’s operating system, particularly updates to Mail, Safari, Camera, Photos, Maps and Find My.
However, the most prominent update is being made to Apple’s digital assistant Siri, which is now being equipped with Apple Intelligence based on artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
As mentioned above, the new operating system for iPhones will become available to users on September 14, but it will not be possible to update all iPhones to iOS 27.
The AI features included in Apple’s new operating system will be limited to the iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, iPhone 16 series, iPhone 17 series, all iPhone 18 Pro models and the foldable iPhone Duo, as they require an A17 Pro or later processor.
However, iOS 27 will also be available for several older models.
Apple’s new operating system will only be available for the iPhone 11 and later models, while phones from 2018 or earlier will not be able to receive the update.
This means that the new operating system can be used on the iPhone 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max, iPhone 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17 series.
Similarly, the iPhone SE (second generation or later) can also be upgraded to the new operating system.
