Web Desk: NexGen Auto (Pvt.) Ltd. has revised the prices of several vehicles under its Omoda and Jaecoo brands in Pakistan following changes to the government’s sales tax framework.
The latest price revision will affect the Jaecoo J5 hybrid from Oct. 1, while the company has reduced the price of the Jaecoo J7 Premium with immediate effect. The Omoda 7 Premium, meanwhile, has retained its existing price.
The Jaecoo J5 HEV will cost 300,000 rupees more from Oct. 1.
The Comfort variant will rise from 6.699 million rupees to 6.999 million rupees, while the Premium version will increase from 7.699 million rupees to 7.999 million rupees.
The new prices will apply to bookings and payments that do not meet the company’s requirements before the Sept. 30 deadline.
Customers who have already paid the full amount for their J5 will continue to receive the vehicle at the previously applicable price, with no additional payment required.
Similarly, customers who have made partial payments can retain the existing price if they clear the outstanding balance by Sept. 30. If the remaining payment is not received by that date, the revised price will automatically take effect from Oct. 1.
NexGen Auto said customers making new J5 bookings before Sept. 30 can also secure the current price, provided they make full payment by the deadline.
However, such bookings will remain subject to available dealer quota and confirmation from the company.
From Oct. 1, all new J5 bookings will be priced at 6.999 million rupees for the Comfort variant and 7.999 million rupees for the Premium variant.
While the J5 is becoming more expensive, buyers considering the Jaecoo J7 Premium have received a significant price reduction.
NexGen Auto has cut the J7 Premium’s price by 500,000 rupees, bringing it down from 10.499 million rupees to 9.999 million rupees.
The lower price took effect on Sept. 14, and dealerships have been directed to update customer quotations accordingly.
The Omoda 7 Premium has escaped the latest price adjustment.
Its ex-factory price remains at 10.649 million rupees, with the company saying the price will stay unchanged until further notice.
The latest revisions create different outcomes for customers across the Jaecoo and Omoda ranges.
J5 buyers who can complete their payments before Sept. 30 can avoid the 300,000-rupee increase. Meanwhile, prospective J7 Premium buyers can now purchase the crossover for less than 10 million rupees.
For Omoda 7 Premium customers, the unchanged price provides some stability as automakers adjust pricing following changes to Pakistan’s tax regime.
