Web Desk: Gold prices in Pakistan fell on Monday, ending a three-session winning streak after a decline in international bullion rates weighed on the domestic market.
According to rates issued by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold fell Rs2,100 to Rs439,936 per tola.
The price of 10 grams of gold also declined by Rs1,800, settling at Rs377,174.
The latest drop came after gold had posted gains in the previous session. On Saturday, bullion closed at Rs442,036 per tola after rising Rs1,100.
Meanwhile, gold prices in the international market declined by $21 to settle at $4,174 per ounce.
The pullback in global prices put pressure on domestic bullion rates, reversing the gains recorded over the previous three trading sessions.
Silver prices also moved lower on Monday. The precious metal lost Rs23 per tola to close at Rs6,532.
The latest movements come as local bullion prices continue to track fluctuations in international precious-metal markets and exchange-rate conditions.
