State bank of Pakistan has announced public holidays on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
According to the State Bank, all offices of the central bank will remain closed from May 26 to May 28, 2026 (Tuesday to Thursday) due to Eid-ul-Adha holidays. During these dates, all banking and official activities will remain suspended.
Banks will reopen and resume normal operations from Friday, May 29.
It is worth mentioning that the federal government has already issued the official notification for Eid-ul-Adha holidays.
Federal Government Eid-ul-Adha Holidays
The federal government has also officially announced the Eid-ul-Adha holidays across the country. A formal notification through the Cabinet Division following approval from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
To celebrate one of the sacred religious festivals of the Islamic calendar, citizens will have a three-day period of public holidays starting May 26, 27 and 28, the notification states.
The government has confirmed that all government offices, educational institutions and most public offices will remain off for the designated holidays, allowing families to have ample time for enjoying the festivities of this sacred occasion.
