Gold prices surge again in local and global markets

KARACHI: Gold prices once again witnessed an increase both in local and international markets.

According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold in the local market rose by Rs1,300 per tola, reaching Rs423,862. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs1,115, bringing it to Rs363,393.

In the international market, the price of gold went up by $13 per ounce, settling at $4,015.

It is worth mentioning that just two days earlier, the local gold price had dropped by Rs1,600 per tola to Rs422,562.

Meanwhile, the price of 24-karat silver increased by Rs25 per tola, reaching Rs5,152.
