Fake news about PM’s urgent visit to Saudi Arabia denied

⏱ 2 minute read
Govt regulations of social media

The claim circulating on social media that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is urgently leaving for Saudi Arabia in connection with the Iran–US negotiations is false and part of propaganda.

The reality is that the Prime Minister is currently present in Islamabad and is actively engaged in matters related to the Iran–United States talks. Pakistan is playing a key role in facilitating these negotiations, due to which the Prime Minister’s full attention is focused on this diplomatic process.

The news being spread on social media is misleading and appears intended to create unrest among the public and cast doubt on Pakistan’s positive diplomatic efforts.

In reality, the situation is quite the opposite, as Pakistan is currently playing a responsible and active role in promoting peace in the region.

Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts are being appreciated at the international level, and the country is being viewed as an effective mediator. In such a scenario, the spread of false and baseless news not only misleads the public but also goes against national interests.

It is important for the public to rely only on verified sources and refrain from sharing unconfirmed information, so that Pakistan’s positive image and diplomatic efforts are not undermined.
