Web Desk: Chery Master Pakistan has slashed the price of its Tiggo 7 Super Hybrid by Rs850,000, bringing the plug-in hybrid SUV’s price down to Rs9.499 million from Rs10.349 million.
The limited-stock offer also includes a free 7 kW home charger valued at Rs100,000, giving buyers an additional incentive as fuel costs remain a concern for motorists.
The price reduction comes despite a sharp increase in the applicable sales tax on plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs).
The company is positioning the Tiggo 7 Super Hybrid as an option for drivers seeking to reduce fuel expenses by using electric power for daily travel and petrol power for longer journeys.
According to Chery Master Pakistan, the SUV can travel more than 90 kilometres on electric power alone, while its combined driving range exceeds 1,200 kilometres.
The company also claims energy costs can fall by up to 94% under certain conditions, particularly when owners charge the vehicle using surplus solar electricity priced at Rs11 per unit.
Chery estimates that owners could save between Rs75,000 and Rs95,000 a month compared with a petrol-powered vehicle travelling 20,000 kilometres annually, although actual savings would depend on driving patterns, electricity costs and charging conditions.
The Tiggo 7 Super Hybrid uses Chery’s fifth-generation Super Hybrid architecture, combining a 1.5-litre TGDI petrol engine with an 18.3 kWh battery and a dedicated hybrid transmission.
The system produces 342 horsepower and 525 Nm of torque, allowing the five-seat SUV to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 8.4 seconds.
Meanwhile, the cabin features a 24.6-inch dual curved display, an eight-speaker Sony audio system, a panoramic sunroof and heated and ventilated front seats.
Safety features include eight airbags, Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems and driver fatigue monitoring. Chery also highlights the vehicle’s five-star safety rating.
Chery Master Pakistan currently operates 14 fully functional 3S dealerships across the country and plans to increase the network to 20 outlets by 2027.
The company entered Pakistan through Master Auto Engineering, part of Master Group, in partnership with Chinese automaker Chery Automobile.
With the latest price cut, Chery is seeking to make its plug-in hybrid SUV more accessible while highlighting lower running costs as Pakistan’s vehicle buyers face continuing pressure from fuel and ownership expenses.
