A fake and speculative information continues to circulate on social media claiming that markets, restaurants, and parks in Islamabad and Rawalpindi will be closed after 12 midnight. The claim has been widely shared online, spreading disinformation and confusion among citizens.
This fake information attempt to link these alleged restrictions to a supposed “second round of talks” being held in Islamabad involving regional diplomatic discussions. However, no official notification has been issued in this regard.
Authorities have strictly rejected such claims, clarifying that no such orders have been issued. They have also stated that normal business hours for commercial and recreational spaces remain in place.
Officials have further clarified that any information regarding high-level diplomatic meetings is only released through verified government channels. They warned that circulating unconfirmed reports about sensitive issues is a breach of law, subject to strict disciplinary action
Officials have urged public and business entrepreneurs to avoid any such fake news and rely on verified govt notifications in such sensitive matters.
