The renowned TV and stage artist Muskan Malik, who won viewers’ hearts with her acting in the past, is now facing severe financial hardship.
Changing times, unemployment and financial difficulties have brought her to the point where, in order to make ends meet, she is forced to sell chilled bottles of milk by the roadside in Quetta.
Away from fame and the limelight, Muskan Malik is now selling bottles of milk by the roadside to support her ailing husband and family.
She says, “My circumstances have forced me onto the streets, and I am selling chilled bottles of milk here. I have still not denied being an artist. Yes, I am sitting here waiting for work to come my way, and I will work.”
Muskan Malik says, “I live in a rented house. You all know how much the electricity and gas bills are. A bill of Rs20,000 to Rs25,000 arrives, and then there are water tankers and illness as well.”
It is worth mentioning that Muskan Malik entered the world of acting at the age of 13. She has demonstrated her acting skills in numerous television dramas and stage productions.
Muskan Malik receives Rs10,000 per month from the government’s Artists Welfare Fund. Members of the public are demanding that more effective measures be taken for the welfare of artists facing such circumstances.
