Vehicle seized with cache of weapons in Kech, two suspects apprehended

Web Desk: On December 15, 2025, a routine vehicle inspection at the WHQ Naka checkpoint in the Sami area of District Kech, led to the confiscation of a large cache of illegal weapons. A suspected pickup truck, registered under number SPC-077, was stopped for routine checks when authorities discovered the illicit firearms concealed within the vehicle.

The recovered weapons included:

  • 100 pistols
  • 2 M4 rifles
  • 100 spare magazines for pistols
  • 2 spare magazines for M4 rifles

Two Suspects Arrested


The vehicle’s driver and a second occupant were arrested on the spot. The individuals, identified as Arifullah, son of Muhammad Khair Ullah Khan and Inayat Ullah, son of Mehmood Ali Khan, both residents of Bannu, were taken into custody for further questioning. They were caught red handed moving a cache of weapons amid journey in District Kech.

Ongoing Investigation


Authorities have not yet revealed the intended destination of the weapons or the individuals’ motives. The investigation is ongoing, and law enforcement officials are working to determine the potential networks or groups the suspects may be linked to.

The confiscation of such a large quantity of weapons underscores ongoing concerns over illegal arms trafficking in the region.
