Web Desk: Security forces killed three suspected terrorists during an intelligence-led engagement in the Para Bejar area of Washuk district, according to intelligence sources.
The operation took place after security officials received information about the presence of between six and eight suspected terrorists in the area, the sources said.
According to the sources, the suspected terrorists were located in Para Bejar, about 5 kilometers south of Patak and roughly 27 kilometers southwest of the Basima camp.
Security personnel were already deployed in the Patak area when they received the intelligence. They subsequently moved toward the reported location and engaged the suspects.
The engagement resulted in the deaths of three suspected terrorists, according to the sources.
Security personnel recovered three bodies from the site. The sources identified two of the dead as Najamuddin, son of Ali Hassan, a resident of Shirenza, and Adnan, son of Jalauddin, a resident of Noshki. The third individual remained unidentified.
Security forces also recovered weapons and ammunition from the site following the engagement, the sources said.
The reported operation comes amid continuing security operations against terrorist groups in Balochistan, where security forces regularly conduct intelligence-based actions in areas considered vulnerable to terrorist activity.
