Thick fog disrupts travel as multiple Motorways shut in Punjab

Lahore:  Motorways authorities have shut several major sections of motorway to ensure public safety as dense fog continue to blanket parts of Punjab on Thursday.

According to details provided by Motorway Authorities Motorway M-4 has been closed from Multan to Faisalabad due to low visibility. Similarly, Motorway M-5 has been shut from Zahir Pir to Multan’s Sher Shah interchange and Motorways M-3 remain closed from Darkhana to Rajana.  

The spokesperson added that due thick fog continues to reduce visibility to dangerous levels Motorway M-2 has also been closed from Lahore to Kot Sarwar.

Authorities also reiterated that with aim to safeguarding property and lives the motorists should avoid unnecessary travel and to follow official advisories.
