Pakistani players show progress in latest ICC rankings

Bowling rankings: Rashid Khan at No.1, Abrar Ahmed at No.2

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the new ODI player rankings, in which New Zealand’s star batter Daryl Mitchell remains at the top of the batting rankings.

According to the latest rankings, Indian star batter Virat Kohli is placed second, while Pakistan’s former captain Babar Azam is at sixth position.

In the ODI bowling rankings, Afghanistan’s spinner Rashid Khan has retained the top position, while Pakistan’s leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed is in second place due to his outstanding performances.

Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has also improved by one position, securing the ninth spot among the top 10 bowlers.

ICC Test Rankings

The International Cricket Council has released its latest Test and ODI player rankings, with England’s Harry Brook achieving a major milestone by climbing to the No. 1 position among Test batters.


According to the latest ICC rankings, Harry Brook overtook fellow England batter Joe Root to claim the top spot in the Test batting rankings. Joe Root dropped two places to third, while Australia’s Travis Head moved up one position to second.


Among Pakistani players, Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam both gained one place. Rizwan is now ranked 20th, while Babar Azam sits in 21st position in the Test batting rankings.


India’s Jasprit Bumrah remains the No. 1 Test bowler, while Pakistan spinner Noman Ali climbed one place to sixth. In the Test all-rounders rankings, India’s Ravindra Jadeja retained the top position
