Pakistan International Auto Show 2026 officially begins at the Lahore Expo Centre
The three-day Pakistan International Auto Show 2026 has officially begun at the Lahore Expo Centre, with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif arriving at the Expo Centre and inaugurating the “Pakistan International Auto Show 2026.”
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif met industrialists associated with the automobile industry and appreciated the services of industrialists for national economic development.
Experts associated with the automobile industry termed Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s vision worthy of emulation. Representatives of the electric vehicle industry and administrative officers paid tribute to the Green Taxi and Chief Minister’s Bike Scheme.
Representatives of the EV industry described the Green Taxi and Bike Scheme as a remarkable initiative by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
Representatives and owners of the tractor manufacturing industry appreciated the launch of the Chief Minister’s Green Tractor Scheme. Representatives of tractor manufacturing companies said that the Green Tractor Scheme had enabled the tractor manufacturing industry to stand on its own feet, while Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s Green Tractor Scheme had promoted local tractor manufacturing.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif visited various stalls at the Pakistan International Auto Show and inspected electric vehicles. She expressed interest in an electric ambulance and reviewed the latest vehicles, bikes and generators.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif also inspected Suzuki company’s biogas model. She spoke to foreign experts at the Honda, Suzuki and other stalls and obtained information.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif appreciated the quality of Made in Pakistan products. PAAPAM Chairman Usman Aslam Malik, Chief Organizer Syed Nabeel Hashmi and others gave a detailed briefing.
The Pakistan International Auto Show 2026 is being held in Hall 4 of the Expo Centre, with local and foreign companies participating extensively. The auto show has 150 exhibitors, including 44 international and 43 local exhibitors.
Prominent auto brands including Suzuki, Kia, GAC, Chery, Sazgar, BYD, G-Tour, Hyundai and Honda have set up stalls at the auto show.
Cars, motorcycles, electric and semi-electric vehicles, and local auto parts have been put on display at the auto show.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif said Pakistan’s “automotive” industry is an important source of industrial development, investment and employment. The Punjab government is committed to promoting local production, investment, technology and innovation. She said the Pakistan International Auto Show 2026 would prove effective for business linkages, investment and technology transfer.
