Web Desk: Chinese automaker Jetour has expanded its SUV lineup in Pakistan with the launch of the T1 i-DM plug-in hybrid and the petrol-powered T2 2.0 XWD, adding new options to an increasingly competitive crossover market.
The models were unveiled at a launch event at the Expo Centre Lahore. Jetour had first displayed the T1 and T2 in Pakistan in March, initially showing their petrol versions. The company later introduced the T2 PHEV before opening bookings for that model in July at Rs12.79 million.
The T1 is a five-seat compact crossover designed with a boxy, rugged appearance while retaining the characteristics of an urban family SUV.
For the Pakistani market, Jetour has introduced the T1 with a 1.5-liter plug-in hybrid powertrain. The system produces a combined 340 horsepower and 530 Nm of torque and uses an 18.4 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery.
Jetour says the T1 can travel up to 100 km on electric power under the NEDC cycle, while its combined driving range is rated at about 1,200 km.
The SUV also offers multiple driving modes, including Sport, Economy, Standard, Snow, EV and HEV.
Inside, the T1 features a 15.6-inch infotainment display paired with nine Sony speakers. Safety equipment includes six airbags, Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems and a 540-degree panoramic camera.
Meanwhile, Jetour has added a petrol version of its larger T2 SUV. The five-seat model uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine producing 244 horsepower and 375 Nm of torque.
Power is transmitted through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission to an intelligent all-wheel-drive system.
The T2 also offers a range of terrain and driving modes, including Sand, Rock, Snow, Normal, Sport, Eco, Mud and X Smart.
Like the T1, the T2 comes equipped with six airbags, Level 2 ADAS and a 540-degree camera. Its 15.6-inch infotainment system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and is paired with 12 Sony speakers.
Jetour has set the ex-factory price of the T2 2.0 XWD at Rs13.59 million, with bookings requiring a Rs3 million payment.
The company said bookings for the newly launched variants will open on Aug. 29.
In an unusual pricing position for Pakistan’s SUV market, the petrol-powered T2 costs more than the previously launched T2 PHEV. Plug-in hybrid variants typically command a premium over comparable petrol models.
At Rs13.59 million, the T2 petrol enters the same broad price territory as established petrol SUVs such as the Toyota Fortuner V and Kia Sorento V6.
The Fortuner V is priced at about Rs14.9 million, while the Kia Sorento V6 costs around Rs13.6 million, putting the Jetour model directly against two established competitors.
Jetour has yet to announce the final price of the T1 i-DM PHEV. The company said it will disclose the price after the government’s new auto policy is announced.
Despite the uncertainty over its final price, Jetour has opened bookings for the T1 against a payment of Rs2 million.
The company is positioning the T1 against compact SUVs such as the Jaecoo J7, MG HS Super Hybrid, Omoda 7 and Haval H6 PHEV, which compete in a similar price and vehicle segment.
Jetour is also offering a Dominator exterior kit for the T1 and T2 at a promotional price of Rs2 million, compared with its stated original price of Rs2.5 million.
The package is aimed at buyers seeking a more distinctive and rugged appearance for the SUVs.
The T2, in particular, occupies a relatively unusual niche in Pakistan because of its squared-off styling and off-road-inspired design. Potential rivals with a similar appearance include the GWM Tank 300 and iCaur V27, although those models have not yet entered the local market.
Both the T1 and T2 will also be available for public test drives at the PakWheels New Wheels Expo 2026, scheduled for Aug. 29 and 30 at the Expo Centre Lahore.
The event will bring together vehicles from several manufacturers, giving prospective buyers an opportunity to experience Jetour’s latest SUVs before making a purchase decision.
