Web desk:Islamabad has fully returned to normalcy after protests linked to the escalating tensions in the Middle East, as demonstrations were held across several major Pakistani cities in solidarity with Iran.
Protests were staged in Karachi and Lahore, where demonstrators gathered to express support for Iran and condemn recent developments in the region. In some areas, large crowds marched toward diplomatic sites, prompting heightened security and temporary road closures. Authorities increased deployments to maintain order as emotions ran high.
Amid this backdrop, Inspector General Islamabad Ali Nasir Rizvi said the situation in the federal capital is now completely under control.
“By the grace of Allah, all areas of Islamabad are completely normal. Protesters have returned to their homes. Life is moving forward, people are engaged in iftar preparations, and Islamabad Police remain fully alert,” Rizvi said in an exclusive conversation with Azad Digital.
He emphasized that law enforcement ensured public safety and prevented major disruption. While routine activities have resumed across the city, police continue to remain on high alert as a precautionary measure.
