Pakistan Army carries out rescue operation Chitral

Web desk: A tragic road accident took place in Koragh Upper Chitral when a flying coach traveling from Peshawar to Torkhow skidded off the road and fell near a riverbank. The vehicle carried 13 passengers at the time of the crash.

The accident claimed the lives of two passengers and left several others injured. The incident caused panic in the area due to the remote location and extremely harsh weather.

Local authorities reported the accident immediately, and a nearby unit of the Pakistan Army launched a rapid rescue operation. Despite freezing temperatures, rough terrain and limited access, the troops reached the site without hesitation.

Rescue teams evacuated the injured passengers quickly and provided first aid at the scene. They then transported the injured to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Boni for further treatment.

The Pakistan Army shifted the remaining passengers to a safe location and provided them with warm clothing and hot tea to protect them from the cold.

Local residents praised the Pakistan Army for its quick and life-saving response, saying the timely action prevented further casualties and showed the army’s strong commitment to public safety
