Web Desk: Chinese new energy vehicle maker BYD has showcased its latest electric and plug-in hybrid vehicle technology at the Pakistan Auto Show 2026 in collaboration with Mega Motor Company.
The exhibition featured BYD’s growing range of new energy vehicles, along with models from its luxury technology brand Denza and a selection of the company’s accessories.
Among the vehicles on display, the BYD Sealion 6 attracted particular attention as the company’s first model planned for local assembly in Pakistan.
According to the company, local assembly of the Sealion 6 is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026, marking another step in BYD’s plans to expand its presence in Pakistan’s automotive market.
The model was showcased alongside BYD’s wider portfolio of electric and hybrid vehicles, giving visitors a look at the technologies the company is bringing to the Pakistani market.
BYD’s exhibition lineup also included the Atto 2, which the company described as one of Pakistan’s most popular electric vehicles.
Meanwhile, the Shark 6 Anniversary Edition was displayed in an Outback Orange finish, adding a distinctive variant to the automaker’s new energy vehicle portfolio.
The company also presented the Sealion 6 and Denza B8, highlighting the range of electric and electrified vehicles available under its brands.
BYD said the models displayed at the auto show reflect its expanding portfolio of new energy vehicles and its growing focus on offering Pakistani consumers alternatives to conventional petrol-powered cars.
The company’s presence at the event also highlighted its plans to expand local vehicle assembly while introducing newer electric and plug-in hybrid technologies to Pakistan’s automotive market.
