Lahore: Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik has stated that 40 oil and gas reserves have been discovered during the tenure of the current government.
The Federal Minister for Petroleum submitted a written reply in the National Assembly. According to the reply, 40 oil and gas reserves have been discovered during the present government’s term, out of which 18 new reserves have been made operational.
The reply further states that by December 2025, the new reserves have produced 61 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. Additionally, 1,553 barrels of oil per day are being extracted from these new reserves. Meanwhile, 22 newly discovered reserves are currently in the processing stage.
