Three Chinese Nationals Killed in Drone Attack on Tajik Border Camp

Web Desk: On the night of November 26, 2025, an armed attack targeted a camp of LLC Shohin SM employees within the control area of the 1st Border Guard Post “Istiqlol” in the Khatlon region of Tajikistan. The assailants reportedly used an unmanned aerial vehicle armed with grenades and firearms, killing three Chinese citizens working for the company.

Tajik Authorities Condemn Attack

Tajik authorities emphasized that they have consistently worked to maintain security and foster stability along the border with Afghanistan. Despite these efforts, criminal groups operating from Afghan territory continue to carry out disruptive actions, highlighting ongoing security challenges in the region of Tajikistan and the surrounding countries.

Call for Afghan Cooperation

In response to the attack, Tajikistan expressed deep concern and strongly condemned the actions of the armed groups. Officials urged Afghan authorities to take effective measures to stabilize the border and prevent further incidents, emphasizing the importance of cooperation between the neighboring countries to ensure the safety of personnel and civilians.
