The groups and schedule for the 2027 Cricket World Cup have been announced, with Pakistan and India placed in the same group.

The match between Pakistan and India will be played on October 10, 2027, in Johannesburg. The World Cup will be held from October 2 to November 21 in South Africa, Namibia and Zimbabwe.

Pakistan will play their opening match against Afghanistan on October 8, followed by a match against a qualifier on October 15 and Zimbabwe on October 19.

Pakistan’s match against Australia is scheduled for October 22.

A total of 14 teams will participate in the World Cup, divided into Groups A and B.

Group B includes Pakistan, India, Australia, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe and one qualifier, while Group A consists of Bangladesh, England, South Africa, Sri Lanka, New Zealand and one qualifier.

The tournament’s first stage will feature three lower-ranked teams, with the top team from the first stage advancing to the next round.

The second stage will feature 12 teams divided into two groups, followed by the Super Seven stage involving seven teams.

The top four teams from the Super Seven stage will qualify for the semi-finals, scheduled for November 17 and 18.

The 2027 World Cup final will be played in Johannesburg on November 21.
