Irfan Siddiqui was a principled man, says PM Shahbaz Sharif

The Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said in a statement that Pakistan has lost a serious thinker, educator and principled intellectual. Irfan Siddiqui always made knowledge, tolerance, seriousness, and argument the focus of his writing and personality.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that Irfan Siddiqui was an important member of the PML-N and our close ally. Irfan Siddiqui was counted among the loyal companions of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and the party. Irfan Siddiqui’s services to the party will always be remembered, Shahbaz Sharif added.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif have expressed deep sorrow and grief over the death of Senator Irfan Siddiqui.

President Asif Ali Zardari, while expressing condolences on the death of Irfan Siddiqui, said that Irfan Siddiqui has immense services for democracy which will always be remembered.

The President prayed for the eternal peace of Irfan Siddiqui and expressed his condolences to his family.

Prime Minister also said, “Irfan Siddiqui’s academic services and national vision will remain a beacon for future generations. He was a gentle, gentle-tempered, and extremely refined person.”

The Prime Minister described the death of Irfan Siddiqui as a great loss to the academic world and society.

Meanwhile, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also paid tribute to Irfan Siddiqui’s journalistic and political services and said that his services for the country cannot be forgotten.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif also expressed her regret and said that Pakistani politics has lost a brilliant and dignified politician.

Sindh Governor Kamran Tesori said that Irfan Siddiqui was a principled person, a symbol of civilization and an amazing personality.

 Irfan Siddiqui, a close aide to former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, and a senator for the PML-N passed away on Monday after protracted illness.

He was 75 years old.

Senator Irfan Siddiqui was admitted to ICU over health complications.

Earlier family sources had told that Senator Irfan Siddiqui has been under medical care for several days after developing severe breathing issues.
