Saudi Crown Prince lauds Pakistan’s efforts in US-Iran peace deal

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman held an important telephone conversation, during which regional situation, the Iran–US peace agreement, and matters related to bilateral cooperation were discussed.

According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman congratulated Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on the success of the Iran–US agreement, while the Prime Minister extended congratulations to the Crown Prince on the signing of the historic Islamabad Peace Deal.

The statement said that the Saudi Crown Prince praised the tireless efforts and professional capabilities of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, stating that the peace agreement was successfully concluded as a result of the joint efforts of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Field Marshal.

During the conversation, both leaders agreed to successfully move forward with the next phase of the Iran–US agreement. On this occasion, they also expressed the resolve that any attempt to sabotage the negotiation process would be fully guarded against.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are ready to finalize and sign a comprehensive economic package. He also reiterated his invitation to the Saudi Crown Prince to visit Pakistan at his convenience.

According to the statement, both leaders agreed to continue close coordination and contact in the coming days and emphasized that remaining issues between Iran and the United States should also be resolved through dialogue and negotiations.

The Prime Minister said that due to the strong support of Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries, the peace agreement became possible within a few months. He expressed deep gratitude to the Saudi Crown Prince for his continued support in peace efforts and paid tribute to Saudi Arabia’s wise and visionary leadership during the crisis.

The statement further said that both countries remain committed to continuing joint efforts for peace, stability, and economic cooperation in the region.
