The Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, while strongly criticizing attempts to paralyze public services and the civil administrative structure, said that certain elements deliberately adopt such slogans and actions whose aim is to weaken the state system and put pressure on the government.

In a statement issued on the social media website X (formerly Twitter), the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir said that these elements are active under a strategy to paralyze public services and the civil administrative structure so that the government can be intimidated and a perception is created before the public that they are more powerful than the state.

Faisal Rathore said that afterwards the same elements hold the government responsible for shortages of food and medicines in those areas where they themselves impose lockdowns or closures. He said that such actions cause difficulties for ordinary citizens and affect the provision of basic necessities.

The Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir further said that this drama should now end and those misleading the public should understand that their game is over. He emphasized that state institutions will continue to fulfill their responsibilities to maintain the delivery of public services and administrative order.

He said also that the government will not tolerate any activity against public interest and attempts to challenge the state’s writ will be responded to according to law.
