Russian media has extensively praised Pakistan’s leadership role in facilitating the Iran–United States peace agreement.
Major Russian news channels and publications have described Pakistan as a guarantor of peace and a key partner in the diplomatic process. Pakistan is being widely commended for the success of the Islamabad negotiations and for helping bring an end to a conflict that had the potential to affect the entire world.
Russia’s state news agency TASS referred to Pakistan as a guarantor of peace, stating that Pakistan would make every possible effort to consolidate the progress achieved in the Iran–US talks.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov praised Pakistan’s leadership, saying that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and other Pakistani leaders are playing a crucial mediating role in the peace process.
Russian publication Sputnik stated that regardless of where the agreement is formally signed, Pakistan will remain the central mediator in the Iran–US peace deal. According to the publication, the framework of the agreement was developed in Islamabad, and Pakistan deserves the credit for its success.
According to Russian outlet RT, the sincere mediation efforts of Pakistan helped bring the United States and Iran closer to ending their hostility and conflict. TASS further reported that Pakistan remains hopeful and determined to pursue economic growth following the end of tensions between Iran and the United States.
International experts believe that Pakistan’s political and military leadership worked tirelessly to help end the conflict, and that the benefits of these efforts will be felt globally. The Iran–US agreement has strengthened Pakistan’s international standing, with Pakistan emerging as a guarantor of peace and an increasingly influential force on the world stage.
