Officials said the decision was taken due to heavy flooding and continuous rainfall in several districts of Punjab, which have disrupted normal academic and examination activities. A revised date sheet is expected to be issued soon.
All educational boards across Lahore and Punjab have announced the postponement of examinations.
Authorities confirmed that the decision was taken in light of the difficult circumstances caused by floods and was aimed at ensuring the safety and well-being of students.
BISE Faisalabad postpones matric exams amid flood situation
The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Faisalabad has postponed the 2025 second annual matric examinations due to the ongoing flood crisis in the region.
A board spokesperson stated that the exams, which were initially set to begin on September 10, will now start on September 29.
A revised date sheet will be released soon, while students will be issued fresh roll number slips in line with the new schedule.
The spokesperson noted that the decision was taken in light of the disruption caused by flooding in multiple areas, which has impacted students, schools, and examination centres.
Students and parents have been advised to follow official board platforms for timely updates and further instructions.
