Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, without naming Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, said that politics has ended for individuals who crossed red lines.
Talal Chaudhry said while speaking on the private media channel that most of the decisions of the incarcerated PTI founder were based on the advice of former Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) chief Faiz Hameed.
Earlier, the Field General Court Martial (FGCM) sentenced the ex spymaster for 14 years in jail for his involvement in politics, violating the official secret act, and misusing authority to gain advantages from politicians and other individuals.
Talal Chaudhry stated that the former ISI chief is in jail because he crossed the red line.
Minister of state for interior also praised his political party, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), as saying that the party faced military dictatorship and political dictatorship during Imran Khan’s tenure.
PTI was in power after winning the 2018 elections, and in 2024, through a no-confidence motion, Imran Khan was removed from his position as prime minister.
However, Talal Chaudhry concluded that, “our focus is on improving people’s lives and ending terrorism.”
