The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the latest Women’s T20I player rankings, with Pakistani players making significant improvements in their positions.
In the batting rankings, Shawal Zulfiqar climbed 16 places to reach 29th, while national batter Ayesha Zafar moved up 31 spots to 40th.
Australia’s Beth Mooney and Georgia Voll occupy the first and second positions, respectively, in the batting rankings.
Ayesha Zafar also climbed nine places in the all-rounders’ rankings to secure 30th position.
In the T20I bowling rankings, Pakistan’s Sadia Yousuf retained eighth place, while Fatima Sana rose five spots to 24th.
In the global bowling rankings, India’s Shree Charani and Deepti Sharma are ranked first and second, respectively.
Pakistan Women’s Team won the bronze medal at the Asian Games
Pakistan Women’s Team won the bronze medal at the Asian Games after defeating Bangladesh Women’s Team.
The national team scored 145 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the allotted 20 overs, with captain Fatima Sana emerging as the top batter with 45 runs.
In response, Bangladesh Women managed 114 runs for the loss of seven wickets. Pakistan Women defeated Bangladesh by 31 runs, with Pakistan’s Umm-e-Hani taking three wickets.
It is pertinent to mention that earlier on Sunday, Sri Lanka Women defeated Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team by eight wickets in the semi-final of the Asian Games.
