Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi Friday said that after the detailed verdict of the Islamabad High Court, there is no justification for any attempt to enter Islamabad forcefully.

Speaking at a press conference, Naqvi said that anyone violating the court’s order would face contempt of court proceedings.

He said people have the right to protest, but demonstrations should be held in their own areas. “No one will be allowed to storm Islamabad,” he added.

The federal minister said that the country has suffered heavy losses during past protests. He also remarked that if the forces are fired upon, they will not remain silent.

Naqvi said law enforcement agencies have been directed to stop any attempt to violate the law through all possible measures.

He said that CM KP should concentrate on countering terrorism in his own province rather than giving calls for protest.
