National cricketer Muhammad Rizwan has challenged the NCCIA’s summons in the Lahore High Court. Chief Justice Lahore High Court Justice Aalia Neelum will hear the petition today.

In his petition, Muhammad Rizwan has raised questions over the NCCIA’s jurisdiction and the nature of the investigation.

Muhammad Rizwan stated in the petition that the NCCIA did not provide any specific allegation regarding his summons. According to the NCCIA notice, an inquiry into online betting and gambling is underway.

According to Muhammad Rizwan, during his appearance, he repeatedly asked for details of the allegations related to illegal activities, but none of his questions were answered during the appearance.

Muhammad Rizwan stated in the petition that why the NCCIA was investigating an unknown allegation and requested the court to order a halt to the NCCIA’s proceedings until a final decision is reached.

It should be noted that the NCCIA had given a questionnaire to Muhammad Rizwan and Imam-ul-Haq, and both players were required to submit their answers to the questionnaire by September 15. Imam-ul-Haq has submitted his answers to the questionnaire.

Mohammad Rizwan responds to NCCIA

According to sources, Mohammad Rizwan has raised several questions in his response and asked why he was summoned and why his mobile phone has still not been returned.

Both players recently appeared before the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency in Lahore, where they sought more time to answer questions.

NCCIA sources say the mobile phones of both cricketers will be unlocked in connection with the PCB’s complaint.

The investigation will focus on dressing room leaks during the series against England.

The cricket board had handed over the mobile phones of both players to the NCCIA.

The NCCIA had stopped the lawyers of cricketers Mohammad Rizwan and Imam-ul-Haq from entering the premises.

The lawyers said that the NCCIA had illegally summoned the cricketers over a phone call without issuing a notice. They said they had accompanied the players and were allowed to enter the building but were not allowed to go inside.
