The examination papers for the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2026 have been dispatched from Lahore to 14 cities under tight security arrangements.

The papers have been sealed and secured in steel trunks, which were handed over to police officials and assistant commissioners for transportation under their supervision. Senior faculty members and officials from the University of Health Sciences (UHS) also accompanied the papers.

The examination material will be stored in district treasury offices today. The MDCAT 2026 exam will be held on September 20 under the supervision of the University of Health Sciences.

UHS Vice Chancellor Major General (retd) Sohail Sabir, Professor Nadia Naseem, and Controller Examinations Dr Muhammad Abbas oversaw the dispatch of the examination staff and papers.

Vice chancellors and pro-vice chancellors of medical universities have been appointed as regional supervisors, while principals of medical and dental colleges have been assigned as centre heads to oversee arrangements and monitoring.

The Specialized Healthcare Department officials will monitor the examination process, while a control room has been established at UHS for real-time monitoring before and during the test. A helpline has also been set up for coordination with examination centres.

The MDCAT exam will be conducted across 31 centres in 15 cities of Punjab. More than 49,000 candidates are expected to appear in this year’s test.

District administrations, under the supervision of deputy commissioners, have been assigned responsibilities to ensure security and smooth arrangements. A total of 12 government departments in each district will support the examination process.
