Web Desk: Gold prices in Pakistan posted a modest increase on Monday, recovering slightly after a steep decline in the previous trading session, as gains in international bullion prices lifted the domestic market.

According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold rose by Rs300 per tola to Rs427,736.

Meanwhile, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs257 to Rs366,714.

The upward trend in Pakistan mirrored movements in the international bullion market, where gold gained $3 to trade at $4,053 per ounce.

The increase came a day after domestic gold prices fell sharply by Rs4,600 per tola, bringing the price down to Rs427,436 before Monday’s partial recovery.

Investors continue to favor gold as a safe-haven asset amid persistent global economic uncertainty and geopolitical tensions.

They noted that heightened demand for bullion has helped support prices despite recent market fluctuations.

However, analysts cautioned that gold prices could remain volatile in the coming weeks as financial markets respond to shifts in monetary policy, currency movements and geopolitical developments.

Experts said a stronger US dollar or changes in global central bank policies could put pressure on gold prices, while ongoing political instability and economic concerns may provide further support for the precious metal.

They advised investors to closely monitor both domestic and international market trends before making buying or selling decisions, noting that even modest changes in the global economic outlook can significantly influence bullion prices.

The latest movement underscores continued volatility in the gold market as investors balance safe-haven demand against expectations for global monetary policy and economic growth.
