Web Desk: Security forces have reported the arrest of a suspected terrorist linked to the group they identify as Fitna al-Hindustan, with authorities saying the detainee provided details about the network’s recruitment methods, training operations and alleged involvement in attacks in Balochistan.
According to a statement issued by security officials, the arrested suspect, identified as Habibullah from the Serandah area of Ornach tehsil in Khuzdar district, disclosed information about the group’s activities during questioning.
Security officials said Habibullah claimed that he was recruited after being approached with financial incentives and false promises.
The suspect told investigators that he was first moved to the Chanal Dasht area, where he underwent ideological conditioning before being transferred to the Sargarrh camp for further training.
According to the statement, he claimed that training at the camp included handling weapons, explosives, carrying out ambush-style attacks and methods to evade identification following militant operations.
Authorities said the suspect disclosed that he allegedly provided weapons, ammunition, explosive material, food supplies and medicines to terrorist groups.
The security statement quoted him as claiming involvement in several attacks, including incidents in Sanaro camp, Khuzdar, Nal and Bela.
The suspect said terrorist commanders provided instructions, weapons and communication channels before each operation, while payments were made after attacks were completed.
Authorities said he claimed he received Rs25,000 after attacks in Khuzdar and Bela.
According to officials, the confession provides further insight into what they describe as the operational structure of Fitanah al-Hindustan in Balochistan.
The statement said the suspect claimed that some members joined terrorist groups due to unemployment and financial difficulties, while others were drawn in through manipulation before being prevented from leaving.
The suspect reportedly claimed that individuals attempting to leave the organisation faced threats and violence.
The security statement quoted Habibullah as saying that recruits were not provided adequate facilities inside camps and that terrorists relied on supplies taken from nearby settlements.
Officials said these revelations highlighted what they described as the exploitation of vulnerable individuals by terrorist networks.
Security authorities said further investigations are underway to uncover additional details about the group’s structure, funding channels and operational activities.
Officials reiterated that security forces remain focused on disrupting terrorist networks and preventing attacks in Balochistan.
