Bhai Bhai Channel

A female reporter, who went viral during these floods, works for BBC but it is not British Broadcasting Corporation, in reality it is Bhai Bhai Channel.

Her interesting videos gained thousands of views, especially the one in which she was reporting from the boat.

The internet was instantly obsessed with the reporter, Mehrunnisa.

BBC clears the air

A few days later, the british broadcaster issued a statement “It has come to our attention that a digital media company called BBC Urdu News Punjab TV is operating in Pakistan using the BBC’s name.”

“The BBC has no connection with this organisation or its reporters, and this organisation has not been authorised to use the BBC’s name in this manner. We request BBC audiences to verify the presence of any content published under the BBC’s name on the BBC’s official platforms before trusting it.”

After the BBC’s clarification, the reporter had to explain her side. She addressed the British Broadcasting Corporation, saying that the broadcaster can approach the Bhai Bhai Channel directly and that they were not copying them.

She said that her social media platforms have been shut down over copyrights complaints by the BBC

After her channels were shut down, Mehrunnisa appealed to the BBC to take back the strikes. She appealed: “It’s my appeal to the BBC to take back the strikes issued on my channels on youtube and TikTok.”
