Asim Azhar releases new album after much wait

WEB DESK: Pakistani singer and actor Asim Azhar has finally dropped his first solo album after weeks of suspense, triggering a strong buzz on social media.

After years of hit singles and big collaborations, his new album Asim Ali is winning praise from fans.

Asim released the album last night with 10 tracks: Asim Ali, Khabbay Sajjay, Na Ja, Changes, Lost n Found, Sugar Rush, Jind Mahi, Pari, U Got This and Strangers.

The album also features a collaboration with Talha Anjum. All songs are written and composed by Asim, produced by Kumail Abbas, mixed by Jokhay and mastered by Rooshan.

Calling it his “most honest album yet”, Asim shared a photo with his mother to mark the moment. He wrote that many of the songs were created during a very vulnerable and sincere phase of his life. He added that he once believed listeners would not accept such music, as he was told to follow a certain formula to stay relevant. Over time, he realised that music means little if it is not honest.

He also revealed that the project has already gained strong attention through pre-saves for a Pakistani album. Asim said he could not sleep due to excitement and thanked fans for allowing him to share his art.

Earlier, he had wiped his Instagram clean and posted only a “Khuda Hafiz” story, which sparked concern on X that he might be stepping away from music.
