The prices of broiler meat in different cities of the country have increased by Rs 20 in a single day, adding to the burden of further inflation on the common consumers. The price of broiler meat has gone up to Rs 459 per kg, while in different markets it is being sold at Rs 470 to 475 per kg. Broiler farm rate is Rs 289, Traders rate is Rs 301 per kg. Apart from this, the wholesale rate is available to sellers at Rs 303 but at Rs 315 and the retail rate is fixed at Rs 317 but being sold at Rs 329 per kg. This constant increase in meat prices is a multiplier of the public's purchasing power, the recent sensible increase in the price of broiler meat has put the public in serious trouble. This new wave of inflation has made it virtually impossible for the middle and low-income class to consume meat. Citizens demand that the government take immediate steps to bring prices under control and provide relief to the public.
