Field Marshal and Chief of Defence Forces Syed Asim Munir said that Balochistan is the pride of Pakistan, and the province is rich in natural resources. He said that the unwavering efforts of Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies enjoy strong public backing, expressing confidence that this support would pave the way for lasting peace in Balochistan.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the field marshal made these remarks while addressing participants of the 20th National Workshop Balochistan at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi. The interaction focused on the province’s security situation, law and order, governance, and ongoing development initiatives.

During his address, the field marshal said targeted operations against Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan would continue with full determination until the threat of terrorism and its facilitators is completely eliminated from Pakistan. He reaffirmed that security forces would sustain operations against terrorist networks posing a threat to the country and its people.

He also alleged that foreign-backed elements have consistently sought to fuel violence in Balochistan, undermine peace and stability, and obstruct the province’s development. However, he said the armed forces, with the unity and support of the people, would thwart such designs and ensure that efforts to destabilize the province fail.

Describing Balochistan as the pride of Pakistan, Syed Asim Munir said the province is rich in natural resources, while its patriotic, talented, and resilient people remain its greatest strength. He added that development initiatives undertaken by the federal and provincial governments are aimed at improving socio-economic conditions and creating greater opportunities for the people of the province.

Highlighting the importance of national cohesion, the field marshal praised the contributions of civil society, educational institutions, the media, and the youth in promoting unity and strengthening the country’s resilience. He stressed that unity, determination, and perseverance are essential for securing Pakistan’s future and overcoming emerging challenges.

At the conclusion of the meeting, participants reaffirmed their collective commitment to Pakistan’s stability, development, sovereignty, and national unity.
