Australian High Commissioner to Pakistan, Tim Kane, wrote on X about the new application process for Australia from Pakistan.

He wrote on X that eligible Pakistani citizens can now apply for a visa by just using their mobile phones.

Tim Kane wrote on X, “Applying for an Australian #visa from Pakistan just got easier! From today, eligible applicants can use the Australian Immi App to provide their passport details and facial biometrics straight from their smartphone.”

The Immi App is already functional in several countries. Tim Kane said, now Pakistanis can also use this app to process their visa applications. According to the Australian High Commissioner to Pakistan, using this app can help Pakistani Citizens to save money and time at the same time.

How the app works:

Enter the Visa Lodgement Number:

Every family member/Individual needs to enter the Visa Lodgement Number (VLN).

2. Scan your passport
Use your phone’s camera and NFC feature to scan your passport details and chip. Make sure the full page is clearly visible and avoid glare or shadows.

3. Review your passport details
The app will display the information it scanned. If anything is incorrect, just scan your passport again.

4. Take a live photo
For identity verification, you need to take a clear live photo. Stand against a light background, look straight at the camera, remove your glasses if you can, and make sure there are no shadows. The app will automatically capture the photo once everything looks right.

5. Submit your identity check
Enter your email address to receive a confirmation. After submission, your passport details and photo are sent directly to Australia’s Department of Home Affairs. The app does not save your personal information afterward.
