Islamabad: Italy has issued an important advisory for Pakistani citizens seeking a Schengen visa, emphasizing the need for complete and updated financial documentation.
Italy, known for its rich history, scenic landscapes and vibrant culture, continues to attract travelers worldwide. In 2024, the country recorded an 88.72% approval rate for Schengen visa applications ranking it as Europe’s third most successful country in visa approvals. However, officials stress that approval depends largely on accurate and complete paperwork, particularly bank statements.
Mandatory Financial Proof
According to the new guidance, Pakistani applicants must submit a valid bank statement along with their visa application for an Italy Schengen Visa. Failure to provide this document may result in rejection. The statement serves as proof that the applicant possesses sufficient funds to cover expenses during their stay in Italy and the statement must not be older than 30 days.
Minimum Financial Requirement
Diplomatic sources confirm that the minimum daily expense requirement stands at €28. Therefore, applicants planning a 90-day stay must demonstrate access to at least €2,520 roughly 834,000 Pakistani rupees in their bank account.
Officials Urge Accuracy and Transparency
Authorities advise that submitting complete, up-to-date and verifiable financial records can significantly increase the chances of securing a visa. The Italian embassy continues to stress that financial transparency remains a key factor in the smooth processing of visa applications.
