The expected date for the beginning of Ramadan 1448 AH in the United Arab Emirates has been revealed.

According to the International Astronomy Centre, the first fast of Ramadan in the UAE is expected to fall on Monday, February 8, 2027.

According to the centre’s calculations, the new moon of Ramadan will be born at 3:56 a.m. UTC on Saturday, February 6, 2027.

The possibility of sighting the Ramadan crescent will be assessed on February 6 and 7.

According to the pre-calculated Hijri calendar, Ramadan is also expected to begin on February 8, 2027.

If the official calendar follows the astronomical estimate, residents of the UAE will begin fasting on February 8, 2027.

According to the International Astronomy Centre, the new moon of Shawwal will be born at 9:29 a.m. UTC on Monday, March 8, 2027.

The centre said Eid al-Fitr in the UAE is likely to fall on March 9 or 10, while Eid al-Adha is expected on May 16 or 17.

The final date will be announced according to the religious calendar established by the United Arab Emirates.
