Pakistan’s national cricket team suffered another setback after losing the Lord’s Test against England, with several Pakistani players dropping in the latest ICC Test rankings.
England defeated Pakistan by 194 runs in the Lord’s Test. Following the defeat, Babar Azam dropped five places to 15th in the latest Test rankings. Babar scored 8 runs in the first innings and just 6 in the second innings of the Lord’s Test.
Pakistan’s Saud Shakeel made a major 15-place jump to 18th, while Sri Lanka’s Sonal Dinusha is ranked 25th.
Among other Pakistani batters, Mohammad Rizwan dropped seven places to 33rd, Shan Masood fell three places to 41st, while Salman Ali Agha also dropped three places to 43rd.
In the bowling rankings, Australia’s Mitchell Starc remains in first place, while New Zealand’s Matt Henry moved up one place to second.
England’s Ollie Robinson climbed six places to fifth, while Sri Lanka’s Asitha Fernando improved four places to reach 11th.
Pakistan’s Mohammad Abbas remains 15th, while England’s Josh Tongue climbed four places to 13th. England’s Gus Atkinson suffered a 10-place drop and moved down to 24th.
