Defence minister urges adherence to Article 5 of Pakistan’s Constitution, says dialogue begins with loyalty to the state
Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, in a recent statement regarding so called prosters linked to the banned Public Action Committee in Azad Kashmir, said that dialogue begins with loyalty and complete obedience to the state.
In a statement posted on X, he said that some misled brothers in Azad Kashmir who are currently following a certain agenda should read Article 5 of Pakistan’s Constitution, which requires unwavering loyalty to the state.
He also shared a verse from Surah Al-Ma’idah, stating that those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and spread disorder in the land face severe punishment, including execution, crucifixion, amputation of opposite limbs, or exile. He said this punishment brings disgrace in this world and a great torment in the Hereafter.
