Web desk: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted rainfall in most parts of the country today, with thunderstorms, gusty winds, and isolated hailstorms expected in several regions.
According to the PMD, rain with thunder is likely in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, the Potohar region, northeastern Punjab, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Heavy showers and hail may occur in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Potohar, Kashmir, and mountainous areas.
In Islamabad and its surrounding areas, rain with thunder and occasional hail is expected, while Rawalpindi, Murree, Galliyat, Jhelum, Attock, and Chakwal are also likely to receive showers.
The cities of Northern Punjab, such as Lahore, Sialkot, Khushab, Sargodha, Narowal, Hafizabad, Faisalabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Kasur and Gujranwala are also predicted to get some rain along with thunder.
Southern parts of Balochistan will remain partly cloudy, while light rain is also expected at isolated coastal locations in Sindh.
In Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, thunderstorms with strong winds and rain are forecast.
Over the past 24 hours, most parts of the country experienced hot and dry weather. Still, a few elevated Khyber Pakhtunkhwa regions experienced rainfall, whereas Karachi experienced a light drizzle.
