Web Desk: The district administrations of Islamabad and Rawalpindi on Sunday suspended all public, private, and goods transport services with immediate effect, according to an official announcement.

Authorities said the suspension will remain in place until further notice and urged citizens to cooperate with security agencies during this period. The order applies to all forms of passenger and freight transport operating within the twin cities.

Officials did not immediately provide detailed reasons for the decision, though such measures are typically taken in response to heightened security concerns or anticipated public disturbances.

The sudden halt in transport services is expected to disrupt daily commuting and commercial logistics across the densely populated urban region, where thousands of residents rely on public and private transport for mobility and business activity.

Authorities said further updates will be issued as the situation develops.
