PTI’s False Propaganda About BRT Bus Transfer to Punjab Exposed

Social media propaganda accounts associated with PTI are sharing an old video from August 2026 with new and misleading captions, falsely claiming that Peshawar’s BRT buses are being transferred to Punjab.

The fact is that the video is old and is being shared out of context to spread misleading information on social media.

In fact, the video dates back to August 2026, when 25 new buses arrived in Peshawar for the BRT service. Following the arrival of another 25 buses, the total number of buses in the BRT fleet increased from 244 to 296.

Thus, according to the information provided, claims circulating on social media that Peshawar’s BRT buses are being transferred to Punjab contradict the facts, while the arrival of new buses increased the overall size of the BRT fleet.

PTI social media accounts have active, spreading false and baseless fake news which create confusion for the citizens and authorities.

Authorities have advised the public to avoid such baseless fake news whose sole purpose is to create unrest and confusion.

Citizens are also urged to avoid circulating the claims unless they are confirmed through official government announcements or other credible sources.

Peshawar Police Warn PTI Propaganda Accounts of Legal Action

Capital City Police Peshawar has warned those spreading fear and unrest in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through fake news, misleading information and edited videos, saying legal action may be taken against such elements through the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) under relevant laws.

In a message issued by Capital City Police Peshawar, citizens have been advised to refrain from sharing any news, video or social media post without first verifying its authenticity.

According to police, spreading fear and creating unrest among people through fake news and manipulated videos may lead to legal action.

The police clarified that compliance with the law is mandatory in the digital world as well. Social media users should therefore verify the authenticity of any content before sharing it and avoid spreading unverified information.
